When I sold Filter Queens in 1972, the salespeople were told that the name of the show was related to Filter Queen and Jack Bailey used to award them as prizes. Was this untrue, or was there a switch in cleaner sponsorship/loyalty? The compact shown was with the non-protruding hose connection port. My Aunt bought one of those in 1956. I was three going on four and don't remember mom watching Queen for a Day.
