Hey guys.... you may remember me getting that Kirby Sentria on Sunday for 60 bucks. Well, my good friend David (Fairfax88) offered to buff and clean it up for me and oh what a difference! Luckily, it didn't need any new parts, the brushroll and wheels were fine. I had a lot of fun watching him do the restoration and even learned a few things. The vacuum just looks stunning. David, thank you so much for all the work you did.... I really appreciate it, and so does my new Sentria (we need to name her). He even got some deep scratches out of the metal that I thought would never come out... he' a pro :o) And very nice too :o) It doesn't even look like the same machine now! And, my G5 skips over my thin carpet, the Sentria does not.

even the doggy had fun

David has a very sweet doggy named Mickey that got muddy paw prints all over my white shirt and shorts... too cute. I'm a "cat person", but I think even I could have a dog like this!

Wow guys, that Sentria sure turned out beautiful. David you are really good on that buffing wheel. It is hard to believe that it's the same machine. I bet that you both had a really fun day. Thanks for sharing the process with us.

I didn't even know we had this purple forum.......

How long has it been here?

The Kirby unit looks great! The dog looks great! You kids really did a good job on that machine. It looks show-room new. There's someone on this forum that might be getting a Bison. Looks like it would stand a good chance of being restored if you two were to work on it.

Gotta agree with John......you both are very good with tools.

One secret to success when working with tools...they should feel comfortable in your hand.

Rick
