Today I decided to get out my beautiful Compact C7. It's complete with all the original standard attachments and hose, all the extras, all the original paperwork, and a beautiful storage hassock that looks like a little coffin!

(Oddly, the one attachment that looks to have had the most use is the nearly useless floor polisher! The top of it has deep scuffs from someone shoving it under cabinet edges.)

I haven't used this machine in a while and it really is a wonderful vacuum cleaner, so out it came for a whirl around the new place.

One flaw about it that bugs me is the "Anniversay Model" decal on the left side of the canister. It's peeling and flaking off. I am wondering if by any chance anyone might have a spare decal so I can make Miss Compact all pretty and blemish free again?

Thanks!

P.S.: Does anyone have any tips on how to remove the remnants of the old decal without damaging the painted finish? I'd want to remove the bits and pieces of the old one, whether or not I am able to replace it.

Thanks...

I wonder if something like Goo Gone would work.

Yeah, I guess if I can't find a replacement decal, I'd just as soon remove the one on there entirely. But I don't want to ruin the paint job in the process.
