The Miracle Mate box and attachments I saw last weekend were gone. I'm not even sure there was one whole vacuum in all the mess. I did spy this Eureka across the yard. I got it for $5.
When I went to pick it up, I was disgusted at how light and all plastic it was. I was expecting a heavy brute.

Was the bag full? Of course, but not of dirt! Eight new bags tucked in.

It looks like it was hardly used.

It seems like such a 'grandma vacuum'. So light, but boy does it have suction. It pulls itself across low pile carpet. This could be a new favourite.
I'm not crazy about the 90's sponge paint bag.

Nice find! I've never used a 5 amp Eureka before, so I can't say much about this machine, but I'm sure it cleans well!

plasticy and light as those are they are excellent vacuums. It came in various guises over the years and it's really not that much different than today's Sanitaires. I saw that same one last year at the Goodwill in Pt Huron but they want $24 for it.. no thanks even though it's worth $24, not to me it isn't LOL

The Boss!

They actually still make this vacuum today through vac shops and some hardware stores. It is a very good machine and one of the last of it's kind left on the market. I wish Hoover would make a retail consumer version of the Convertible.
