Okay.....some eBay sellers really need to do a bit more homework!

They saw the service sticker from "ABC Vacuum and Sewing Center" on this poor vac and figured that was what this Lewyt vac featured!

Oy vey.......

I've never seen a vacuum that sews and sucks...pretty convenient if you ask me.

:)

The mistake that always gets me is seeing an Electrolux 1205/Golden J/Super J/Olympia/Silverado advertised as "Electrolux Automatic Control Vacuum".

Or what about floor polishers listed as vacuum cleaners? I also see lots of newish machines listed as "vintage"!!!!! Can you believe a Dyson vac already being called "vintage"? :-)

Looks like a Lewyt 66 with 4-wheel dolly such as I got from the NC57 Hoard.

But wouldn't I love to have that great looking hose and the red hose hanger!

I'm guessing that people take "vintage" to mean "really good condition", which is only part of the definition. That aside, poor spelling and lack of knowledge of items shouldn't generate much in the way of sales.

Give Dyson 20 or so more years, and they could be called "vintage".

in 20 years the only thing a dyson will be doing is sleeping in the land fill. . . IMHO

Did You Notice The Attachments?

The rug nozzle, upholstery nozzle, sprayer, and snufficator (Lewyt's Demother) were original, but there was also a rug nozzle from a Lux XII, a generic crevice tool, and an upholstery nozzle from a Hoover Constellation or Convertible, not to mention Hoover bags.
Might be worth it to get the hose holder and original paperwork, though. As for the hose, I have the same one on my Lewyt 40 and it leaks like a seive!
