*ahem*......

Uh, huh. I recieved this wonderful pamphlet in the mail from John Lucia. Many, many thanks John. Someday I will have to find one of these machines, to add to my collection of "all things Dormeyer". It seems to be a very unusual machine, yet standard Hoover/Eureka (ish). I wonder how that suction regulator works! From the shape of the attachment converter, I guess it clips on over the fan intake - after you have removed the belt/brushroll cover.

Another thing I found interesting is that the hose has a short straight section, rather than a regular handle. Perhaps they thought that the tools might just be used very occasionally. Only one section of wand is included too. Here's the inside of the pamphlet...

Nice Dormeyer there Rick, looks like it could suck the nails out of the floor. Who does have one?

as I told Rick, that Sears had a very similar looking machine, probably made for them by Universal. I STILL can't figure out that tool conversion...

Rick, do you think that converter goes through an opening behind that rubber bumper thing near the base? JL

Something I just noticed ... the machine shown on the front of the brochure is slightly different from the one on the back side.

Look closely at the bumper. With the one on the front, the center (taller) portion of the bumper goes all the way down to the front of the nozzle. But with the one on the back, it only goes down to the top of the longer part of the bumper. I am wondering if maybe this center portion of the bumper pops off to access the suction port for the hose.

Very Interesting!

That sure would be a fun machine to see and use. Do we have any idea what year this ad might be from?
