Alex Taber Is getting his stuff back on May 10!

As the job of loading and driving a truck with my stuff would be far too strenuous for my boss/partner Ira, my buddy Larry and I are flying to San Francisco on Saturday May 8, loading the truck on the 10Th and driving it home.

I have notified Public Storage, rented a 16'Pensky truck, planed our route, booked motels along the way and will do it!
In addition Nathan Thomas told me today that he will attend the convention and bring my Electrolux C-A.

Now all I have to do is wait another week, which is really the hardest part of all.

Alex Taber

I know how you feel. I hope to see my remaining 4 vacuums in September when I go up to the Northwest to retrieve them. I hope you have a happy reunion. Happy traveling. JL

I wish you Godspeed on your Mission of Retrieval to and from the Temporary Tomb of The Vacuum Sweepers, Alex and pray that any inevitable delay or speedbump along the ways will be the sort you can chuckle about soon after.

Your best defense is a jolly mindset of adventure, humour and patience. Have the camera ready at all times and especially as you open the door of the Taber Vault. In fact, a video camera on a tripod will be sure to capture every whoop & holler and amusing moment.

I'll be thinking of you and Larry every day of The Big Adventure.

Dave

Good luck on your trip. It'll be an adventure regardless and you'll get in some good sightseeing along the way. I've driven back and forth quite a few times, never worry about where you're gonna eat or finding a motel etc because there's always lots available. In all my years only once did I get to a town and there wasn't a room available and that place was Bemidji MN. There must have been big doings going on I ended up having to drive about another 60 miles before I got a room LOL
