Brian, that is so cute, and I love the website, "Stuff you don't really need but want!!" It would be fun to sell these at the convention which reminds me I sure hope that lots of you are making plans to attend!! Terry

Hey Terry! I guess that could be a sub theme of this collectors club: "Stuff you don't NEED, but really, really WANT!"

You know, I have no room to collect the real vacs in my tiny apartment, but I sure have room for shelf nic-nacs! I should just start collecting novelty desk vacs like this little Henry!

They may look cute...

But they are useless.

I was given one as a Christmas present. There is no bag; only a foam filter that protects the motor from large particles.

The suction is non-existant, and the box blurb says "Improved suction". I wouldn't have liked to have used the previous model.

But they're so cute!!! :D

Guys,

I know that the little Henry desktop vacuum is barely more than useless as a cleaning machine, but it is SOOOO adoreable. LOL.

I think that most of its lack of ability is from the fact that it runs on 2 AA size batteries, total 3v. If somehow I could work out how to set it up with the PP3 9v battery instead, this would vastly increase the RPM of the motor and consequently vastly improve the air flow, and performance.

I might get one of the newer ones to have a little play around with. :D

Stay tuned.

Clark.

It runs on...

three AA batteries = 4.5volts, and doesn't do anything.

You would have to install a different motor.

I was wondering myself, why they didn't make it slightly larger and install a 'dustbuster' motor & fan in a vertical position (like the way a real canister shopvac operates). If a decent filter was used, it may perform adequately.
