Yeah, I know Toby's name is Toby. But hello.....it doesn't start with an "S"!

OK, as mentioned in a previous thread - I went out to visit Toby Friday night. It was gift exchange night! Yippie!!!

First, what I gave Toby - generous to a fault am I.

1. A reason to suspect that I should have my head examined. (me, forgetting the camera - can you believe it)!

2. A headache.

3. A bottle of Pepsi that had been rolling around in my car's trunk for a couple of weeks.

All of that, and this is the only thing I got from Toby.

Got a little upset thinking I had been given a defective pie

When I was playing with it, I couldn't get the hose back out! Just before storming back to Toby's to demand my mon.....eh,

Hey! This is a really cool hose release. I have never seen this before.
When you insert the hose, there is a distinct click when all four of these inclined clips catch the connector.

This, and the following picture are not the same!

To release the hose, you continue pushing the connector into the machine receptacle. Then this little plastic ring slides down, between the inclines and the "catch" on the hose end holding them open to remove the hose.

A throwback to less expensive Lewyt BigWheels.

If you didn't get the attachment holder on a Big Wheel, all you got was a fuzzy little bumper. No Wheel. This machine has just a little peg to hold it from tipping all the way back.

Cool beans! I had one I found in the trash years ago. It was so rusted in one spot it made a hole in the bottom. I still used it for a bit I just put duct tape over the hole ;) It still had great suction too.

Another feature is the mounting of the motor.

It's mounted in the hood not the canister. This machine is actually in perfect condition for me. If it were any cleaner or less damaged....I wouldn't have wanted it.

Big bag area too.

But that's it. Nothin' else.....

even after what all I gave him. That's the only thing I got.

Thanks Toby.

Rick

Toby, Thanks for everything. I know the real things I brought you, and working on the Grand Marquis don't quite add up to this......so thank you ever so much!

WOW

That machine is so neat. I have a feeling that the turbo tool for it is rare as well!!! What a great gift Toby!!! I always thought those machines would be great to use on stairs, I would guess too that with that large bag area that it has really great suction!! Congratulations on a great gift Rick!

My Nilfisk has the same snatch/push/release gizmo on the hose - took me the better part of a day to figure it out.

AND you got the sleek New Style Monster Hi-Speed Flywheel Turbine Brush, too! I only have the old tired clunky one in Fleshtone Biege.

You're gonna be thrilled at the power and engine whine sound.

But I can't envision him parting with any Sunbeam, LOL.
What a beautiful machine and bonus floor tool!
