I think the UltraOne is a beautifully-designed cleaner; I like the orange one the best!

Currys in the UK have recently started selling the entry-level model badged as AEG (see link under video). True to UK form, no remote handgrip or powernozzle :(

I love them... if they came to the US and had Electric power nozzles, I'd buy one in a heartbeat. I like the orange, green, and purple (video) ones!

You asked for it? Well, you got it....

The Electrolux Canada website is indeed showing a 110-volt Ultra One with Power Nozzle! See link below...

My only gripe is that they have enough room on the main canister to provide at least 3 separate "adult-size" tools, but somehow, the company feels we consumers would prefer yet another attempt at a horrible "3 in 1" attachment! Bleh......

The new and improved power nozzle set-up sounds interesting - you can park the nozzle+wand assembly onto the main unit for storage (like many Kenmores and Panasonics and Mieles). They have added angled bristles on the power nozzle to clean edges more efficiently, and the neck on the power nozzle seems improved for manoeuverability.

BUT: Someone should tell Electrolux's web copyrighter that there is no such a thing as "extremely silent"! What they mean is "extremely quiet"......

Cool... wonder how much it is. I can't imagine it being quieter than a Miele, but I do like the looks and feature set.

As a rule, I don't like combo tools, but I think that one looks OK... as long as the "wings" that become the upholstery tool don't break with constant opening and closing. There seems to be some depth the the bristles on the dusting brush so the plastic won't scrap the surface it's vacuuming unless the suction is just too crazy. But, the suction can be turned down, so it shouldn't be an issue. The crevice tool may be too short for many people... but I don't use a crevice tool at all really... and as long as it has a quick release power nozzle for baseboards and around the litter box, I'd be quite happy with it.

You have to see this commercial for the Ultra One!

I have never seen a more convincing commercial to show that a vacuum is easy to manoeuvre! Amazing clip....

Fun yes, but let's see them do that with the vacuum plugged into a wall socket. :-)

I tried out an Ultra today (First one into the shop here - helped to unpack and set it up) and it really is impressively quiet. The air flow through the hose is louder than the motor. I was quite impressed with it. As for price - about $1000.00

I wonder why they are restricting sales of this to Canada no

eurekaprince's profile picture
Maybe they want to test it out in the market before offering it in the USA.

I see that it also comes with a neat electric-powered mini power nozzle for cars and stairs.....does this attachment work well, Doug?

The ones the store here recieved dont have the mini powerhead - just the tripple action tool (which actually isnt bad) dual rug / floor nozzle and the powerhead.
