Connies are fun to use, darn good vacuums, reasonably quiet, and your 84 is Beautiful! Do you have the full set of attachments?

Beautiful 84, but different

Hello Hans. Another gorgeous vacuum in your collection and certainly one of my favorites! Currently, there is one just like it on Ebay about which I was about to ask Tom to be certain when I saw your post. The early 84's had that (hinged) base and with a very decorative silver plate around the inlet stating 'Hoover Constellation' whereas the later (often referred to as 84B) model with the radiused or flipped base (also used on all successive Connies), had no such plate. Yours and the one on Ebay (see link)seem to be a hybrid of the two. Hmmmm. Inquiring minds want to know! Anyway, I had never seen this particular incarnation until today and now I see TWO! Hans, it's always a treat to see your vacuums, a nice change from the plastic wannabee garbage gaining more notoriety. Thanks for sharing.
Rick
