I have noticed pictures of model 30 Luxes that were listed as PRE WAR when in fact they are NOT,so here is the lesson for the day!!!,All of you members under about 25 or 30 here is some info you might find interesting...The pre war model I have is from about 1939 or 40, it is slightly different than the very first one.

First pix

Shows a pre on left post on right..notice the older machine has a larger aluminum rear housing the newer model is chrome plated steel,has louvered doors as opposed to the single push in door for the blowe

Basket filter vs flat

In the previous pix you can see the early basket filter on the left as opposed to the flat one on the right..next is!!!

You can see that it is longer as well as having the early sun emblem as well as patents etc..next I will show the new one

Decket out post war model pre war in front

This was brought back from L A in 95 a gift from our own Mr Lester the pre war was a yard sale buy

Tools

The tools in the preceeding pix came with the pre war model...notice they are much different than the later ones...the floor brush is stamped aluminum not cast

hehe, that just comes from being obsessed with Electroluxes since the first time I laid eyes on one, when I was an infant!!
