Okay I have started to collect a few machines now, some prototypes that came through the office others one that I have been interested in for a while. My biggest problem I am running into is my wife will not let me store more then 3 in the house (one on each floor) Well I have passed my 3 and started to store in the garage (don't worry the garage is a very nice place, heated and all and they have a great home with the Jeep and Audi)I was just wondering how much room everyone else's collections took up and where they are located.

Hi! Well, I'm luckier than most. I have a 22 x 22 garage building than houses around 125 or so, with 2 more in my bedroom. Later, Trg

Enough to have three finished rooms in my basement at Tarantula Arms. There are vacuums stored in every closet in the house as well.

I have 12 vacuums, 2 of which are in another country, and 2 of which are in daily use by family members, so my "storage" collection numbers 8. I keep them in a disused bedroom, on shelves and on the top of bureaus. I have 2 large plastic "tote" boxes for all the attachments, divided into smaller boxes according to the vacuum they fit. The only attachment that doesn't fit into the box is the Electrolux PNI, which lays flat on the top of a long bureau.

As for the hoses, about half of them hang on two widely spaced garden hose hangers fixed to a beam in the basement; the other half are draped over the beam. I guess you could say my collection takes up most of a small room.

I am quite lucky also, I have large house and a finished basement. I have around 250 vacuums....i keep about 200 at my moms and about 50 at my dads. I used to keep them in a very large room, 30x22 maybe, but I am not sure. I moved them out of there though, and made that room my bedroom, as I am tired of my vacuums. But now they are all crammed in a little 15x12 room.

Fred, beautiful collection and display of the collection. I have three huge rooms in my lower level that would be perfect for collecting, However the wife says that a vacuum collection does not need to be on display in our new house (she fails to see the beauty of the machines) and she made me choose between the vacuums and my 66 Mustang.
