Who has vacuums with family or sentimental value? I have 2 of them that I will NEVER get rid of, one is a Eureka 1934A (It belonged to my Grandma who passed away in 1999) and the other one is a red Dirt Devil plus upright(belonged to my Grandpa and Grandma, Grandpa gave it to me in 2005 or 2006, and unfortunately Grandma passed away this April.

Everyone in my family knows it is willed to me and I will kill them for it. Also she still has the orange celebrity I used when I was a kid. I have pictures of me using it in diapers. |

I have the Hoover Constellation that belonged to my Grandma Wood, along with it's original hose. Many (if not all) of the attachments have gone missing, however. The machine itself is still running just like it did the day she and Grandpa bought it. I also have Grandma's Hoover 28 -- even though it's not the EXACT one that she had. I had that one for a while, foolishly got rid of it -- and then years later found the one that I presently have in a local thrift store that wasn't even in business when I got rid of Grandma's cleaner! I've included here a link to a video of my 28 that I posted on YouTube: CLICK HERE TO GO TO tazcatsdad's LINK |
