Every once and awhile my and my grandpa go to the thrift-stores and see what we can find. He normally goes to look at books while I look at the vacuums. Well today I was on the lookout for a Hoover Elite. I really miss the old bag inflating, and my Oreck just does look like it. So, the first Goodwill I go to has not one, but TWO Hoover Elites for just $10 each! Both of them sound prefect! The first one is an Elite 600 with the 6amp motor. All she needed was a new belt. Then other is the Elite 5.0. The belt and brush roll is prefect and it came with a bonus. The owner give away 3 full packs of A bags tied to the handle with a rubber-band! I good $10 indeed. So, for just $20 I got two Elites and 8 bags. The 600's model number is: U4464-9 The 5.0 model's number is: U4481 Here are the pictures! (These are at my grandparents house)

those are nice, esp since they are very early in the elite run. BTW, the bag on the 5.0 is not installed properly | ||

the outer bag, the bottom looks like it is incorrect, it should be folded in the same way as the top is, it looks like it isnt folded at the bottom | ||

Love Them
The 600 was my favorite Elete. My uncle had that one,a friend had one in blue,and I got my Gram one when she moved in her apartment in 94.That one was a 650 in black with gold letters. The maroon 600 is my fav tho(wierd because blue is my fav color lol).I do miss the "old" days of Hoover-made in the USA | ||
