This is the second strange straight suction Royal I have seen of this nature, and the second one I either could not afford, or was outbid on. As you can see the attachment is from a Eureka. I have no idea what the purpose or target consumer of these models were, and I have never even heard them mentioned by other collectors.

Hmmmmmmmm, I've never seen one of these critters before!

I don't know about this straight suction version but the revolving brush Royal is a terrific little sweeper.
