I have a Miele canister vac which uses the FJM bags. You get 4 bags to the box. I have always used Miele vac bags with my unit since new (6 years now). I have also seen those Environcare bags sold for less. I am tempted to use them.

Is the performance of the Environcare bags on the par with the Miele bags?

Putting imitation bags in a Miele is a little like putting cooking oil in a BMW...

Mercedes seem to run well enough on chip fat LOL

Although I am one of those who do buy Genuine Miele bags for mine, they fill really well with no loss of suction (none thats noticed anyway) and really dont cost as much as some people make out in the long run.

I tend to use mine until they really are full and even that takes a good couple of months when used as the daily driver. A box costing £7 can last a good 12-18 months with no ill effects on the cleaners ability to clean or the air expelled. Well worth the cash.

We have three dogs and only get about 3 complete vacuumings of the house before the bags are full. And I mean they are rock hard, stuffed when full. We brush the dogs frequently and that helps. BTW, the dogs are Labs, so they are quite large.
