Happy Happy Happy - Another Goblin has appeared for my collection. This time it was the post war version of the Goblin Clean Sweep (model 23) which completes my 1945-50 Goblin Cannister set. Unfortunately the wands, dusting brush, sprayer and book were missing. Hopefully they will turn up somewhere.

Doug

The Pre War and Post War versions of the Clean Sweep. The only real difference being the change from sleighs to wheels. (and a different hose - not shown).

Hi Doug Very nice collection 1945 the year i was born ( i am old. Very well built machines what a shame they dont do that any more. I am basicly a Kirby man. What do you think of Kirby Doug

Hey Doug:

OWWWW - thats a trap question....To be quite honest I'm not a real Kirby fan (But I do have a fair collection of them) They were a nice looking machine and came with some really neat accessorys but in use I found them heavy and clumsy (The Classic and up). The nozzle was to big for most homes unless you had a very large expanse of carpeting. (The older ones I've found were much more convenient). The best use I've found for mine has been with the handi butler as they do an excellent job of buffing out metal.

How wonderful, Doug! I know that feeling ya get when an elusive model comes my way...

And in such splendid cosmetic condition. I remember well the day those nice ladies in St Marys presented me with the pristine Constellation 82 - my previous bashed up blue 82 was already on its way to the parts bin and indeed gave up it's upper rubber motor gasket and blue cord for the good of the 'new' one. :-)
