Has anyone ever had the chance to use a Hoover Conquest. They are quite remarkable! I used the 20 plus year old Conquest that my church used to use today. Randomly, it reappeared as they have been using commercial Simplicitys for 12 plus years. Well, I got it out today and thought it was picking up very well. The dirt cup was completely over filled! I emptied the cup twice with ancient dirt. It really picked up after I emptied the cup. The cup design is quite messy. I also noticed that the brushroll was very worn down and it could use a new belt but for the shape it is in, it works remarkably better than the Simplicitys! After I vacuumed some with it, I emptied the cup for a third time. It was all fine sand and dirt. I just thought I would share how well the Maxine works for it's age!

Last year I used one everyday at school during Study Hall. It was actually very quiet for its size. And cleaned very well. I own one at the moment, but it has VERY bad bearings. I really do not feel like fixing it, and I will most likely not be able to get it back together. But it is a great vacuum.
