For Christmas my parents bought my Bissell ProHeat for our horrible dirty carpet. You might remember that I was asking for suggestions for a deep cleaner, and a lot of you said Hoover. Well I told my mom that but Target had a sale on this machine. But, this cleaner is nothing like I thought, in a good way. I though that the Dirtlifter Powerbrush was soft and slow. No way! It's totally stiff and hurts my hand when I touch it whens it's moving. (Of corse!) They work so much better than my late Bissell Quickstemmer. The hose works wonders, this 2 year old stain actually came out within 2 passes. This dirty carpet in the bedroom had not been cleaned in years and now it's the same color as when we bought the house! The heater works great, but I don't see a difference in cleaning. All I can say is Wow. This is a great deep cleaner. If it lasts longer than the warranty I will fully support Bissell products.

I bought mine also. It is a Dual V. I have heard good, and bad, but I am satisfied with it. it is powerful, and not loud at all. Definately worth it

My bissell is quiet too with it's 12 amp motor. Like quieter than a small canister.

I repaired quite a few of these due to issues with the heater getting a calcium build up however that can be solved if you use my enemy ( vinegar & water) and run it through the machine when done using it. these are a great deep cleaner. Lastly as far as bissell goes they have a great bagged vacuum that does not scream like a jet when running, and their Bagless lift off cleaner actually works great. so all in all I do have some respect for the cleaner company because they do have some reliable products. the only product that I dont like is the velocity cleaners, they become loud and lose suction pretty quickly.

I have the Pet Hair Eraser which is similar to the Velocity. It is not loud at all, and takes A LOT for it to lose it's suction. I am actually fond of it for the upstairs.

Yeah, I've always had good luck with Bissell. My aunt and uncle had this huge model called the Prue-Air for years and groomed their carpet beautifully. I used it every-time I went over to their house. It finally died in about 2004-2005 and they got a Eureka Smartvac. I also have their Lift-Off, which cleans really well. My last deep cleaner from them, even without the powerbrush, cleaned well for 5 years and we only payed $90 for it. But I'm glad I now have one with a revolving brush.

Congratulations Nathan,Im glad you got your new Deep cleaner, I know how much you wanted to get your carpets really clean lol. My aunt had the Pro-heat that my uncle got out of the trash and I must say I to was surprised how good it cleaned. It had the calcium build-up problem to that we corrected with a vinigar soak. It lasted her about 3 years and the inner(clean-water) bladder failed and we found another Bissell at a yard sale and used it for parts for a while.I like the bissell attachmens especially the crevice tool. Now she has the Hoover Spin-Scrub.She got it on sale or something.Anyway enjoy your Bissell =)

congrats on your gift and it will servcice you well.

Chase: the machine I got was not the best machine, it clogged fairly easily and for a velocity I thought it would be a great cleaner, the pet hair eraser I thought was a better well thought out machine. as far as the velocity goes I will not have another, however that Is my opinion. when cleaned out thuroughly the machine was great. once used it started losing performance. it could have been a lemon as it always had issues.
