Hey guys - I've already mentioned this in a separate thread, but for anyone who missed it, I've now added a number of videos of my vintage Hoover cleaners in action to my website. In addition to these are some clips taken from a 1950's Hoover promotional video, the links to which are on the homepage (with a few other clips from the same video distributed about the site on appropriate pages)which you may find interesting. There are two clips about the construction of the Perivale factory in London, a clip showing Constellations and Senior 652A's being durability-tested, and a clip showing Senior 652A's being assembled. They're quite big files, so they may take a while to load if you don't have broadband.

More videos will be added soon. Hope you enjoy them!

Great idea

to put some of your Hoovers on Youtube, jack! I've followed suit with some of mine, although they're a wee bit newer than yours! And the quality on mine isn't great, as I have to rely on my shonky old webcam. Ah well...

Jack and Si, fantastic videos, it's always interesting to hear a machine I've never heard before as well as see it in action! Thanks for sharing!

They were great, Si - especially interesting to hear your Conquest and 652! It'd be great if anyone else could find the time to record some of their machines in action...I'm just in the process of uploading 3 more videos - Models 450, 370 and 262.

Thank you Jack/Austin!

I'm looking forward to your other cleaners, Jack!

I hope that more people post their cleaners - personally, I'd like to see an Areo-Dyne, Decade 80 and Concept One in action! Hint, hint...

I have to admit...I just love the sound of the Conquest winding up. Thanks for the links guys!

In the quality test in one of the videos in Perivale, the younger gentleman with the dark hair is none other than H.W. Hoover Jr.
