I highly rate mine.

Would be my modern daily driver but the lack of tools means it can be inconvienient especially when it comes to cleaning stairs and hard floors.

It definately has the best modern brushroll. Wonderfully stiff bristles to really groom the pile.

Occasionally needs a good polishing but the chrome work is worth it

Oh and what can you polish it with? Standard furniture polish? Not like the kirbys that you have to use special stuff on!

Why keep the Sentria?

The Sentria converts into a carpet shampooer/portable shampooer and into a lot of other things. It also has very good hose suction which is important for hard floors and above floor cleaning.

HMMM I might do!

I going to use my cylinder vac though for anything other than carpets.

I get my carpets proffesionally cleaned each year with a truck mount I wouldnt ever have it a different way as the shampoo is left behing in the carpet.

The Sanitaire on the other hand, has poor hose suction.
ps: Please make a vid of the Sanitaire and the Kirby. Thanks!

Sanitaire arrived today, in original box, it is brand new I would say, not a mark on it and as per the seller has been used once, not a spec of dust on the fan casing or anything!!!

Well impressed, its a very good cleaner however I do feel the kirby is easier to manoever with the tech drive etc and I prefer the kirby design I think and the big ballooning bag!!

Your memory does not decieve you, it is very common for the colour of 1036s to darken over the years - interesting that it only appears to be yellow that is particularly affected, the U4002 often suffers this way - although there the main darkening is with the lens cap which often seems to end up the same colour as the cleaner!

Keeping that lustre good..

RichardC1983.

I Always use CARPLAN T-CUT. This brings my machines up like brand new. You do have to be very careful not to use this on logos or legends painted or transferred on, as it will remove them. Clear these areas with lightly soapy (Washing up liquid) water, then allow to dry and polish with a good qulaity furniture polish to avoid damage. T-Cut is abrasive and can be aggressive.

Hope this helps.

Happy hoovering.

Clark.
