This was one of the cleaners I got at a flea market with the rest of the haul. It was disgusting when I got it, but I only paid a dollar, and I just couldn't pass it up. I have had it for a few months and just haven't had the time to mess with it. And I had all day today, so why not? This vacuum has seen very little use. It was just banged up from sitting I guess. The brush strips are like new, and when I took the hood off, barely a spec of dust, I had to do no cleaning under the hood. As you can see though, there is much sun damage. I was scrubbing the base with bleach and some kind of pad, and it seemed to work, but when you look away and go to far? You go over the Hoover Badge a few times..... So that is a flaw, but not terribly bad. I am not going to mess with bleach and a Hoover again Lol. And the bag is a bit discolored, but tis, it will do. The outer bag sat in laundry detergent, bleach, and water for a few hours, and it helped a great deal. Obviously, it is a lower end model, the height adjustment only has "Low" and "Normal". The thing that really caught my eye on this machine when I saw it was the bag. That is one of my favorites parts. I like how it is just simple. I am a simple kind of person. Lol. It is a good performer though for a Convertible, and it will be proudly displayed on the "Vintage Hoover Wall" in my Vacuum Room. Pics to follow
Chase.

P.S. - As always, sorry about the quality, taken from a phone. And one more thing, if anyone knows the year of this vacuum it would be helpful to know. Thanks

1987/88 ish. If memory serves me correct(witch is a long shot at times lol.)this is a BOL verty that was sold by "odd ball" stores such as Billy's Hardware or Al's Corner Appliance, or by local hardwhare chan stores like ACE/TrueValue. I say that because The plain bag looks like a replacement but in reality is not as I didtinctly remember that model being sold at our "Salks"TrueValue hardware store and Benny's hardware store had the sister model in red rather than orangeish red.
Hope this helps, Im off th stuff the bird =)dinner at 2.
Kenny
