Jack,
I gave my DC23 Turbine Nozzle the altimate test today. I took it to a friends house who has LONG shag carpets. This rug has been a problem for almost all my vacs except the older Kirbys. Most of the power nozzle and uprights cannot be adjusted to clean this rug. They tend to bog down and burn the belt or are adjusted too high to clean the rug. To my surprise the Dyson DC23 Turbine Nozzle went right through the carpet, straightened the nap and did not bog or slow down. I was shocked! I think it must be the unusual brush design. My new Connie turbine just stops turning on this rug.
Fred S.-you remember the Electrolux Oxygen3 would work on this rug along with the older Kirby and correct me if I am wrong but I think your Miele Canister worked on this rug too.
Rob
