As most of you know, I purchased a Royal Power Tank of eBay. One thing that really annoys me is that the power cord is 50feet long. Is it supposed to be this long? Is it original? Would it be stupid of me to cut some of the cord off and put a replacement plug on it? Thanks
Chase

Why would you want a shorter cord? The power team came with a very long cord. The problem is that Royal tank did not have a stock cord winder; therefore leaving a 50' cord to be wound around the bell by hand.

Ya, but this cord is WAY to big to fit around the "cord wrap". It is impossible to get it all around it, therefore, it must not be original, and another collector told me the cord should be blue anyways, instead of white

white IS a replacement cord

Royal made 3 model tanks which were commonly referred to as the Pony. The first was their deluxe which was Burgundy and used a Hayden power nozzle. The second was blue which was available with both the Haydon power nozzle and the less expensive Douglass power nozzle. They also made a straight suction model which was gray and used a commercial gage cord, also gray that used a 3 prong plug. The gray cord being a thicker gage barely fit on the bell-shaped cord wrap.
