Hi All!! Just wanted to share a pic or two of another machine that I got from the load from N.C. It's a Sani-Way, and yes, there were two of them. I was fortunate enough to have an original hose, the wands may or may not be, found the crevice tool in the pile, and no, the rug tool is not original, but fits good and looks good. Pic 1.

Here's pic 2. Also, if anyone has any extra original tools for this vac to sell or trade, PLEASE let me know. Enjoy the pics, Trg

Saniway

Very, VERY nice, Toby. "You done good!" And you helped support a great cause, too (Preservation of REAL vacuums)

Super-duper 1950s Space Age styling and in red, too. This could so easily be a prop on Science Fiction Theatre, episode "Panic on Pluto".

Any second now the hatch will slowly open , the ramp will descend and the wee little creatures, or ginormous marauding alien invasion scouts will appear.

I know the feeling well, Toby. You find a vacuum in this excellent shape, root around in the parts bins and come up with some matches and then the compelling urge to seek out the missing bits takes hold.

I imagine it takes the same sort of brave individualist to choose a Red Vacuum as it does a Red Car. The original owner of this wanted it to be noticed. :-)

Best of luck to you. In my doggedly patient experience they do show up in time.

Dave

Rug tool and wands

The wands and rug tool you have are Silver King, the Saniway ones lock together with a screw mechanism, the rug tool has a thumbwheel on the underside to adjust the brush, s k tools work fine though.

It looks even nicer in person!

This and the GE Swivel-top you already did a thread on look GREAT, Toby. I especially could not believe how that GE turned out.

BUT, The nice work you have done on both machines, and getting to see them in person just a week ago when I was out at your shop, pales now in the sorrow you have brought by forgetting how to spell crevicetool.

Oh, woe is me.
