Well, as I said in the last thread, me and Davis went to his work today. This one is very rare I think. It is called the Anser. No "W" in it either. It is all original, just needs a new Brushroll and headlight lens. It runs very nicely though. This must be very hard to find, a few other collectors nor I have seen one before. One of the guys there said it was made to compete with the Hoover 28, and it is very similar to it in many ways.

A very long time ago (1985), I worked for a large vacuum shop in Raleigh NC. They had one of these in the basement. It was identified with the Silver King name/logo. I don't know if S.K. actually made it themselves or of this could have been re-branded, but I do remember the look of it. Very distinctive. | ||

Universal ? It's motor and chrome houseing looks like a mold of the 1950's Universal upright vacuums. Like the one on the back of the current news letter ? Norm | ||
