Decided to treat myself this weekend and get a new toy I've been wanting for a while. Thought I would share the unboxing with all of you. Great little vacuum, handles very well and has suprising suction for it's size. This will be nice on the old back when I don't want to lug out the S7 or the Diamond Edition.

What does the label say on the exhaust filter, something about "1 + 2, 10x"? What does that refer to?

You have to put water through the filter and hit it out ten times to get the carbon out :)

Calum,

Here is a better shot of that filter label. Basically soak it with water and tap it firmly 10 times to dislodge any carbon dust from the motor / very very fine dirt that passes through the pre-motor filter. Jack is our resident Dyson expert, so please chime in if I'm off track here :-)

Andrew

Thank you. It's a pity the motor produces carbon dust in the first place. Roll on the digital motor!

Jack: Balls?!!, This is a respectable establishment - we'll have none of that talk here! (...filthy sniggering...)Hah hah hah!

You beat me to the punch! I tried one today (again for the 40th time!!) and it always amazes me. It does have a lot of power for such a small cleaner.

I shall get mine when the time is right!

Congrats...........yes, I want one of these as well.
Would like to trade my clunky DC 15 All Floors for one of these light weight machines. Glad to see Dyson has moved the suction to the center of the carpet head.

Enjoy............. :)

Jack- Thanks for all of the Dyson info.
