You all may remember my recent threads about the vacuums I got on August 8 and 15th. I have already posted the pics of the ones I got on the 8th, except for the individual pics of the new Connie. Fortunately, the pics of the vacs that Jim Barnhart gave me on the 15th were on the same roll, so I'll post them all now.
First is the new Connie. As you can see the turbo nozzle is missing but the seller said he does have it and I will get it as soon as he is able to find it.

Next, Electro-Hygiene 903 and Royal 880

hygiene903's profile picture
Don't they look great together? These were gifts from Jim Barnhart on Aug. 15th. Thanks again, Jim! Both are in excellent condition!

And Finally, Four Royal Model 501 Hand Vacs

Also gifts from Jim Barnhart on Aug. 15th. All four are in great condition and each one represents a different time period from the late 50's to the 80's. Thanks again, Jum!

Enjoy Jeff !!

I knew you would enjoy these vacs and take good care of them and even use them. Since they were twins and quadruplets and I need room what better home could they have found? I might add that the Electro Hygiene 903 is red not orange that shows in the pics. Must have been the lighting outside. Happy collecting to both you and Jr. Jim :-)

Great Vacs, Jeff !

Some really fine editions to the family collection! Jeff.
The one thing I find so interesting about the new connie
is that I think you can put that attachment holder in the
back slot of the machine carrying handle, as well as wrap
the power cord around the handle too. Which makes the cord so much easier
to unwarp. just pull up on it, after you place the hose in the machine and the whole cord is in your hand. ready to find
an outlet. As opposed to wrapping it around the machine at
the base.
What a kind offering on Jim's part.
Congraulations
Norm

Decade by decade of one model of vacuum always makes my day.

You're Right, Rick!

Seems the bag, handle grip, and housing color was about the only change. They are slightly out of order though--the second from left is actually the oldest, but other than that they are in order of age.

I still have

in my collection 35 Royal 157's, 501's and other badges. My favorites are the old 157's with the red and black bags. I think I have one of the first 157's but it is hard to determine since I have no way of dating them. I have one NIB 5000 which was the last model made to my knowledge. Glad you like em Jeff :-). They sure come in handy in cleaning furniture and car seats. The attachments don't have much suction but do in a pinch. Love em all !!!

Jim, do you mind listing your 35 variants. I guess you must have added more since I talked to you a few years ago. I know my list of missing models is far from complete, and chances are I've seen some that you don't have yet, so we should compare notes.

Yes

I will list my Royal hand vacs when I can get to it. They are all cleaned, serviced and have new paper bags installed. There is only one with a bojack bag. I even have a few NOS bags for the later models. I will post a list soon. Thanks :-)
