I was at a Thrift Store today and saw a "almost decent" Hoover Commercial Vacuum for $20. Price seemed high (?), so I wrote down the model number from the bottom and came home to research it. The model number is U704 and apparently it does not exist.

Does anyone know what type of bag the Hoover Commercial Vacuums take? Are all of them the same? I need a cheap bang-around vacuum and wanted to be sure bags would be easy to get.

Even better, anyone know anything about this vacuum? $20 too high?

Thanks!

Missing a number

You are missing a number from the model.
It is "U704_"

All bags are available

Should take a type A or be a dump type, unless someone got silly and it is not original.

Oops! I mean U7041. Left that last digit out when I wrote it down...just remembered it!

Thanks!

I'm thinking now that I must have really screwed up the model number when I wrote it down. I opened the outer bag and saw an inner bag (couldn't find the bag type code on it). But when I search for U7041 and examine the parts list, it may be a bagless?

Its a Conquest......

And well worth it in my opinion!

There is a bagged version that uses either a type A or inner cloth bag and also a bagless dustcup version . I believe the cleaner was sold seperately and you added either the bag of dustcup according to what you wanted- maybe a US guy can confirm that???
