Does anybody know where I can get a NIB Eureka Retro-Vac? Today while I was at Oreck I saw the box for one and loved the way it looked. It looks like a Sanitaire with no headlight, and the bag was a black and white hounds tooth pattern. I think the bumper was aqua colored.

I have one. The heavy duty pancake motor is a nice touch, along with the longer cord and metal switch. The wooden disturbulator and four (not six) position Dial a Nap are weird.

Other deluxe touches include the wide commercial-grade wheels, full width furniture guard and chromed-steel handle with turn down cord hook.

This machine is outrageously powerful and i think the only Eureka ever to have both a Rugulator and Dial-A-Nap.

I have one as well, just like my pearl white Constellation, I switched it on once, used it very briefly and into my collection it went. I love the aqua bumper and black and white houndstooth bag. Only thing I wish they had added was a headlight. I wish Hoover had created their own "RetroVac" Convertible by using a commercial chassis instead of the rebadged Saavy.

I have one also

I have had mine since they first came on the market. I really did a dumb trick tho by getting rid of the box. I kick myself daily about that. However, I have a small apartment that is running out of room. Mine has been turned on about 5 times but only touched carpet once and it has terrific power. I dust it and admire it because of its color's. Beautiful vac. Yes again, to bad Hoover never did this with a convertible. I have had mine for about 5 years I think. I stole mine according to the price on the above website. I only paid $54 for mine. Right place at the right time I guess. Hope you all get one that wants one.

Wow... that's sharp looking machine! Wonder how the wooden brushroll compares to the VibraGroomer. Is it still being made?

Thanks for posting that link! I think I'll get one. I've been looking for a Sanitaire, and this looks even better! I love anything that's retro.

Awwwww :(

I sent them an email regarding shipping and they told me they've been discontinued and they are no longer in stock and will be removed from the website. Darn!

Gotta start searching eBay now. :)

The Eureka Retro Vac is gone for sure....as I have also checked. However, model 1934 is still available and I can get these machines for those who are interested.

Anyone interested? Pricing would be around $149.......

Here's a pic....
