Hi all I just got my first Filter Queen last night at Thirfttown for $15.99. I think it is complete. Plugged it in at the store and then at home and my wife and I were so surprised at how quiet that machine is. I was picking it up to trade with a fellow collector that he and I shop for each other and trade our finds. Anyways I might have to keep this one.

It appears to have a paper cone and yet the label says use only cellulose cones? What is the best cone to use? I will get some pics up over the weekend. The machine is rather heavy but rolls well. Thanks for your input.

FQ Cones

You can either purchase genuine FQ cones or aftermarket brands. I think their all made of cellulose fiber. I've used both, but the FQ cones seem to be a little heavier in construction. Just be sure and buy cones that are made specifically for Filter Queen.

And what a great find too! Do you know which model it is?

Don't buy a cone clone!

I heartily recommend using genuine Health- Mor cones, never the imitations. HM cones are cellulose, not pressed paper with pinholes that let dust through. Trust me on this. The cellulose are long stringy fibers like celery strings that catch dust. So efficient that 20 years later or more, you can pull apart an FQ and see NO DUST AT ALL in the motor!

Model 31

Just checked and it is a Model 31. I plan to take pics of it during the weekend.
