Man, what a bloody HOT day. Easily 90 F and humid. I had to go to a Home Depot on a work emergency for tomorrow so I asked Stanley to come along and we'd go Thrifting.

First south to Woodstock where I walked into this at the Sally Ann just sitting there calling my name. I've never seen this pattern on a Canadian Electrolux wand:

Anyone? It's pale yellow

attached to it was the Lime Green PN III...and as I pulled on the electric pigtailed hose this trundled out behind it.

I would not let go as we walked throughout the store. The cord, plug and bulb are perfect.

I'm carrying a Philips LadyShaver shaver, Manicure and, um, vibrator set.

This is the narrow 5 brush model and it all seems to be there in working order.

Unfortunately on of the 'helper' guys was there and he was reeking of drink and stumbleing and decide to help me out. I was as diplomatic as possible to 'keep his gawd damn hands off it, please - I don't need no friggin' help". I was reaaly afraid he was gonna fall on it to tear something off. :-)

So we walked around some more but nothing of interest other than this Lady Sunbeam Hair Dryer that looks like a radio. I already have a turquoise one so it stayed behind. Stanley being from Prince Edward Island and the son of a Fisherman, collects rubber boots. he found two unworn pair and was hooping and hollering as though he'd found a vacuum. LOL

It was soooo hot the sweat was dripping in our eyes even with the car's AC on full...I'll be taking it in for a recharge this week, after all it is 10 years old. :-)

Stanley kept calling out to take pictures of um, working gentlemen, so I did and then the battery died. Stanley took over the photo duties with his camera and I'll get those tomorrow.

I have that exact sheath save for the latch on the bottom, which I've never seen before. Oddly enough, it also came with an 89.

Why do I always do a "Lucy' and put in too much bubbly stuff? because bubbles are fun and Eucalyptus-y.

You come up with the best pictures

The first range in the first picture is really neat, the whole Salvation Army there looks a lot more promising than ours, even though it's in a brand new building. Your new Electrolux blows the vacuums in this area out of the water. What a bunch of great finds!

back view. I figured out how to coil and route the detached scrubber hose and small head. No slots or clips left so I guess it's complete and it had the tank's second hose-free filter plate in a plastic bag so I'm good to go...

Electrolux 89 Hoser LOVE. Aw shucks. :-)

There was a superb Model 83 on Ebay today around noon that I missed because of work issues. When I checked in at 5pm it had not sold due to not reaching the reserve. 3 bidders, actually only 2. Then an email saying it was re-listed. My heart leapt for joy! I woulda beat that reserve. and it was listed as ships to USA and Canada. Clicked on the 'This item has been re-listed'...

Now it says it is no longer available! ?

Grrr. Dammit. Dave.

Mister Fix-it Tip No. 4327894

aeoliandave's profile picture
The Hoover Scrubber in in excellent condition but had suffered a set kink in the hose's water line from being left connected to the tank. It doesn't look bad here docked in its storage clamp but when released and connected, bends 45 degrees and closes off the water supply.

So I enlarged a 1/4" compression spring to 3/16ths, popped the waterline off its plug and slid it into place over the kink.

Fixed.

Mister Me Fix-It Good. Do try this at home...

About that 83 you were talking about, I was bidding on that! I decided to toss in a couple bids, but clearly I wasn't going to meet the reserve judging by the re-listed BIN price! :)

But I did win something else that I love that's posted in the off topic forum, so I'm a happy camper. :)

It's been re-listed now (I emailed the seller). Still has a reserve but now a Buy-It-Now of $150. Nice machine but...no.

No thanks for BIN but I will be there with fingers poised on Tuesday if it's still there. :-)
