I realize that this may be a shot in the dark, but you never know if you don't ask!

I recently got a Dometic canister vac that needs a new motor. I think in the US these may have been Viking branded. They look just like the European Lux Z345. I've borrowed a picture from Mike's collection. It's the rust coloured one at the top.

The motor and cord gets hot during use. I opened it up to discover that the motor is "sealed". You can change the brushes, but that's it.

Does anyone have something kicking around? I could buy or trade something if interested.

I know, this is a long shot!

Guy

Guy, that is a beautiful collection and I love the way you have it displayed.

the picture I used is from Mike (chestermike) in the UK. Your'e right though, it is a wonderfull collection! I just wanted a pic of the rust coloured vacuum I was referring to.

Have a look at his vast collection on the menu page under "collections".

Mike does indeed have a beautiful collection. He has some outstanding cleaners - his Hoover 612 could have just come out of its box!

I have a few videos of his cleaners on my YouTube account, which I made with the help of my friend Al when we visted Mike last October.
