okay, when I was younger my grandparents had a Kenmore Upright. I would assume it was from the 90's. It was a gray upright, with the cloth bag on the front. It had optional tools, because I remember the port on the side. I think I have the hose, it is a stretch hose, but I am not sure which Kenmore it went to that I had. The whole thing was gray, and if I recall the headlight was on the very front. But I could be mistaking. I do not think the bag said"Kenmore" on it, but it may have said it on the base. But my grandmother and I both know for sure it was a Kenmore, because she had that one and a white Kenmore canister. If I recall she bought them both at the same time, I think I remember her saying that. I guess this vacuum is similar to an elite in a way. And the switch MIGHT have been on the base. But I do not remember. When she bought her Dirt Devil Vision, both of the Kenmores were given to me, and the upright got pitched sometime when I was young, but I do remember taking it on the couch and vacuuming with it ;). I had the canister just until about 7 years ago, when I plugged it in, and sparks flew EVERYWHERE. So its gone, but if you have this upright or know what kind it is, or where I could find one for that matter, please let me know, it has much sentimental value to me, and I would love to have one back in my collection. Thanks, Chase

Kenmore power center or something like that. It was a dirty air upright made to compete with Hoover Elite, Eureka Brovo, Dirt Devil Classic, and the bissel/singer and all the other front soft bag dirty air machines made for that time. The Kenmore version is very HARD TO FIND!!!

the bag would have said power center on the front it. It did have the headlight at the very front and I think it was a thin light that went ALL the way adross the front. The bag would have had a zipper right in the middle of the bag. Sorry but I have no pics.

wait, I used to have a pic of it, and the bag was just all gray nothing on it if i recall. I have a picture somewhere I will try to find it. And I faintly remember there being a center on the hood? a little switch maybe to turn the brush roll on and off?

The one of the left looks like the real Bissell, and the one on the right looks like it has a Bissell bag.

The one on the left is a rebadged Singer from when they were made by Bissell prior to getting rid of the Singer vacs

Rare

They are rare because they were made of garbage plastic. These units blew holes in fan housings left and right. I hated them when they came out, I hated them in the shop, I hated them when they melted the belt because they ran so hot, I hated them in general.

Good luck finding one that runs, because they weren't made to last :(

My grandmas looked like the second one, but it did not have onboard tools, and there was no zipepr on the front. It had a bag change like an Elite 200. And said Kenmore on the bag clip

yes the grey one was BOL model. 6.5 amp, no zipper and tools/holder were optional i think. I had the blue one and it didn't last long. I liked the vac but it did run hot and the plastic was very cheap. I have a Panisonic clone that I use sometimes but it to is bol. Not even a tool port.

Can I see a picture of the Panasonic if it is no trouble? It would be nice to see a full picture of one, all of my pictures of mine are blurry and only half of it. thanks, Chase:)

Well I do have one. I have the grey bottom of the line one with the slider bag top. It does work well but is a cheap peice of crap. It is in my Elite type cleaners of the early 90's. I have a collection of the front bag, direct air type cleaners. Elite 200, Dirt Devil Classic, Kenmore Power center, Eureka Brovo, I am looking for the Singer and Bissell types from this era.

HA that's Jason, he means think again on not finding one. I am guessing that he didn't proof read it. What he was talking about is he was with me on a thrifting trip in his home town and we found one.
