Well you got yourself a really cool-looking Eureka "green machine" is what I would call it. These uprights came in a beautiful moss green with floral bags and rounded Vanguard-like hoods. Some had cord reels. Some came with chrome hoods like the 2092 and 2093. The model you have I think came with a Vibra-Groomer One. They all had the red "Rugulator" front end height adjuster - I don't think any of them came with the cheaper Dial-A-Nap dial. Since the Eureka Williams graphic was still used on these models (red "E" + "EUREKA" in block letters), I am going to say that this was before Sweden's Electrolux dumped that graphic which was around 1978-1979. So I would place the date of this model between 1974 (the date of the Gold Eureka Cordaway Upright 2082) and 1978. I think this would be the exact same time period as Eureka's first self-propelled uprights (blue colour) with the red "E" logo on the hood. If you go to the link below, you will see Hesco's part page - that's how I matched the model number to a hood shape. Would love to see some pics! EP Brian CLICK HERE TO GO TO eurekaprince's LINK |
