Once again, the Salvation Army has been good to me! I saw this yesterday for $75 and knew it would be half price day the very next day. So I went back this morning and got it for half price ;). I noticed that they stuck the $75 price sticker over the original sticker for $29.99, they did that because half price day was coming up. I'm going to go back later with the vacuum and ask them why they did that, and hopefully get it for $15 and tax like I SHOULD have.

Jeez, these thrift shops are getting greedy, for god sakes they get everything they sell for FREE! The main purpose of thrift shops is to help out people who can't afford new things, or for people who just want good deals or to find some vintage things that they collect! For example, they have beat up old rusty washers and dryers, not a single one there is less than $100.

They also found it necessary to wind the cord up in a figure 8 pattern and cram it through the handle, so the outer jacket on the cord split. Grrrr

Regardless, I'm going to keep it as I do like it. It's a fun vacuum, and it's cool to see your crystal clear water turn into mud within a matter of minutes ;). Right now I have a Kirby belt on the PN, I'm going to buy a few belts when I go to my friends shop on the 24th.

If anybody has some attachments or an aquamate, please let me know as I'd love to buy them from you. :)

Nice

Hi, Alex. That was my first RB. It lasted 20 yrs. before the armature went out. But the machine was VERY clean inside. You might want to check Ebay for a 4 quart basin. It holds sooo much more dirt. Just check the model #'s as a SE 4 qt. basin will not fit the chrome-dome models

Once again, the Salvation Army had another treasure waiting for me. I went back about the Rainbow and they gave me a store credit back for the difference, so after that was settled I went back to look again and I found yet another Regina floor polisher/scrubber/shampooer, similar to my other except this ones a BOL model. And it cost me a whole $1!

This morning when I went, there were a bunch of vacuums, and when I went back this evening, only one was left! I saw the Regina still in the bin, but it was already priced so it was for sale. Wasn't there this morning though!

Very nice Alex, I like the Rainbow alot,it looks to be in pretty good shape as doed the buffer.I hear what your saying about how greedy they are getting. The one around here wanted 30.00 for a vintage Sunbeam electric fry pan, wich wouldnt have been to bad if it didnt have a thick brown layer of grease on the bottom and a ding in the cover.
