So I loaned my parents my Heritage I a couple of years back, well this Christmas, dad bought mom a new Dyson. So I take my heritage I back while mom complained to me about how it wouldn't pick up anything. NO WONDER! I got the machine home, broke it down, and OMG! The floor nozzle was COMPLETELY clogged with what looked like at one time was WET pet fur and carpet sheddings and boy did it REEK! there was even hair twisted around the belt fan shaft and I won't even begin to go into detail on what type of shape the brushroll and belt were in. The emptor was even clogged with fur and carpet! No wonder the bag wasn't filling up! After spending a good two hours cleaning(with a tooth brush in the crevices and some slightly dampened steel wool!)hand polishing, brushroll "shedding", new belt replacement and a drop or two of Kirby Oderific, it's back to it's ol' self. I plugged it in, fired it up and the suction was AMAZING!. I can almost hardly push it if it's down too low! You can really hear the edge cleaning slots on the sides of the floor nozzle really pulling the air in. Poor dyson has no idea of whats in store for it!
