That is thier first Lite Lux model.I belive they have a redesigned one now. I don't know if that one is a TTI make or not.
I said that to the sales man at the lux store about 2 years ago. There was a sign outside the parking lot that said Buy a vacuum get 1 free, and I said to myself watch it be a Bissell Featherweight or somekind of broom vac.I was close lol. I said thats a TTI Hoover Soft n Light or Royal Commercial rebage.
He said I don't think so,Arues makes thier own stuff, but I(the sales guy) could be wrong cause we just got 'em a few days ago".I told him to look online at hoover or Royal.com, he did and said "My God youre righ looks like Ill be looking for a job soon, everthing is going to China".

But so far the Arues store is still there,I dk if that sales guy is tho.

TTI it is...i serviced some of the areus like that one and we have the comm. royal of it in showroom...talked to supplier and was told all are the same....just diff color -name. thats all....but turned out to be quite the oreck killer...4.2 amps/full size fan...
but dont know why the hoover model of it was recalled/or didnt do well....all the other versions of it did,,,does anyone know?

Im not sure why they dadn't sell,I think they didn't around here because they were only available through vacuum shops and most people in this tiny state run to Sears,Wally or the like for a vacuum. Big Lots and they sell like hot cakes for $109.00.Anyway I like the Hoover cause I have a thing for headlights lol and Im not sure about the Royal but the Hoover and I think thethe Lux has 2 speeds.Im not sure about the Royal though.

they came and went at big lots...real fast...but yet to sevice any failures on them,,,heard hoover had problems but not sure what tho...never heard?other than being loud ive heard good things about them. but odd how it got discontinued so fast.

I agree with Kenneth, maybe I'm just being silly, but I much prefer a version with a headlight. I do like the Hoover Clean & Light very much. It grooms the carpet well, is powerful & at the same time energy efficient. I only wish they would make bojack replacement bags. At $3. bucks a pop, the genuine Hoover bags are kinda steep. Also, it creates some confusion in that the style "B" bags were originally designated for the Hoover Innovation. I take it the bags are not alike at all? Is TTI still making this model upright and only Hoover who discontinued it?

Hoover Platinum

So is the Hoover Platinum Windtunnel bagged upright just an upscale version of this model?

this is one of the many vacs in my collection, and I use it daily cleaning up after one dog and one cat.
More airflow than oreck, and much more quiet.
I love it

Robert
Oh and it is a single speed, and no headlite

it seems as if it was possibly shelved .. to make room for the w/t bagged ...and increase sales of the platinum line.
i also heard that hoover needed something to counter the sanitaire -sc9050a 5amp....the clean and lite couldnt compete...so in came the w/t bagged...' this came from a supplier we have .

How does it compare to this model? Is this the same thing with a headlight and a different hood?

Wow...a whole 34 airwatts...

My guess is that last thing is a real Aerus design. The headlight and front looks like the same as the 1990s ultralux canister and the lighted models since. I've never seen that before now. Very interesting. I think this is the first full size dirty air design Lux USA has released that has true relation to the years of evolution.

looks just like my Hoover Clean&Light. I am going to keep it with the original box and keep it in prestine condition. I am hoping that later in my life, it will be worth something, since they did not have a long run.

"I am hoping that later in my life..."

You could always keep it for yourself to use, as you slowly creep towards your dotage! (no offence intended).

An awful lot of today's new-fangled machines seem to be made for wrestlers to throw about, without a thought for folks with bad backs or merely elderly.
