anyone know where I can locate a decent hose for a Kirby Dual Sanitronic 50 or 80? I'll pay! I don't see them pop up on ebay too often and I can never tell if the tan ones are for just the Sanitronic or the Dual Sanitronic as the sellers don't really specifically indicate. I'd appreciate it!

Thanks,

Cory - OKC.

The Sanitronic is actually a single speed motor whereas the Dual Sanitronic 50 and 80 are dual speed motors with two seperate safety switches. Of course I have never tried a reagular sanitronic styled hose on a Dual Sanitronic to see of it would work, not a bad suggestion! Does anybody know if they are interchangeable?

Im pretty sure they are NOT interchangable. Like Cory said,,a D 50 and D 80 have a dual (2 speed) speed selector switch,(thats what the D stands for, DUAL or 2 SPEED),,whereas all other 500 series type machines before them, just have the one speed.
Now, i do know that a Classic 1CR hose will work on a D50 and D80 as their speed selector switches are all the same,,,but a Classic 1CR and Classic Omega have different type speed selectors, and the hoses are not interchangable.
A Classic Omega, Classic 3 and Tradition all have the same type switch, so those hoses are all interchangable.
