I would say check the tension of the belt, if it is sufficient then check the position of the brushroll. The bristles may need to be adjusted so they come down closer to the surface of the carpet.... |

Yea. Geeze I have not had one for a long time! Let someone else help ya. I cant remember. Its a screw adjustment. I forgot how to do it. |

the yellow line means it is NOT a real kirby belt, but a made to fit. Change the belt when you adjust the brush roll. in my opinion a good vac does NOT leave carpet lines, lol. |

I wish my legend II made carpet lines :( I would adjust the brushroll more but then the carpet may not get sucked into the nozzle? same with my tradition. |
