Me and my flatmate are considering hiring a Rug Doctor as our hallway carpet and some of the bedroom carpet is very scuffed and worn from the previous tennant. I was just wondering if they're actually any good and worth hiring? Are they a pain to use or relativley easy?

thanks,
Chris

I used to rent one in between my Hoover Steam-Vac uses,I got tired of renting and wanted to start doing side jobs so I purchased a Rug-Doctor over 2 years ago.My SV is great but the Rug-Dr scrubbs better and extracts more water.
Hope this helps
Ken

Thanks for the help Ken. It's £19.99 to rent and then you buy the detergent stuff for it. Johnson's dry cleaners hire them out as well as Focus DIY and both are litterally on my door step. I'll deffo look into this at the weekend. Are they pretty straight forward to use?

Sorry I took so long Im still at work lol. If you can make tea you can use this machine.
Remove the white dirty water tank,Add Hot tap water, about 2gal(7.5L) and about 6oz(200ml) to the bottom.Replace the tank and go =).I think there is a video at RugDoctor.com But i am confident you wont need it.

Hey Chris, go for it you wont be disapointed, its a great machine... a little noisey, and you need clear space, in a confined room, it can be tricky to get around stuff...if any bad stains pre-treat and you will be fine...

Let us know what you think!!!....Mike
