I was in the Vac Shop today hanging out, and an old lady brought this in. She said the hose needed replaced. He had no hoses there, but he said he would give her a good deal on a used vacuum. She agreed, and bought a Bissell Cleanview thing. Before she left she said "is there anything you want to buy from me?" and asked what she was talking about, and she said now I have no need for this, and you can have it for 20 dollars. I quickly agreed. She gave me a package of bags to. She said her neighboor works at a hotel in Illinois and they bought new vacuums and were selling the old ones. She got this for 100 about 9 years ago. I really like it, but it says I need to check the brushroll, so I am guessing it is corroded because the brushroll is has much wound around it. It is very quite though. I really like it.

Hi Chase -

press down on the rectangular button on the left-front side of the floorhead, and the side of the brush-roll cavity will pop right off. Then you can just pull out the brush-roll from the side to clean it. You might also want to check the bristle-length; the 'check' light will also illuminate if the brush-roll's worn.

That would be it then, I cleaned it to the extreme, since it was disgusting, because of use in a hotel but the bristles are very worn. I will have to try to get a new brushroll. Thanks,
Chase

Not much suction

My Windsor like that doesn't seem to have any suction (nothing blocked, just poor performance). It performs "okay" but doesn't seem to go low enough on my berber carpet. Love how quiet it is though and how easy it is to move around.

salvation army

7 dollars. its easy to take apart and make sure it is clean. Mine has lots of suction and slow and steady wins the race with its auto system.

Chase,They are good vacs. The other hospital I worked at has the and they sure have taken a beating.
Chase you will notice when you get the new brush the Check Brush light will go out like jack says, If you lift the brush up off the floor and it spins to fast the light will go on also. Thats how it senses when the brush is worn. If you get something stuck it stops the brush. Its really a neat vacuum,I enjoyed working with them and I also had the kenmore version I liked it alot.
Im going to my vac shop on friday to get some Royal bags,Ill see what kind of trouble I can get into lol. I went monday and they were closed(i 4got it,its been a while sence i been there) but they have a used Filter Queen!!! maybe I wont be a FQ vergin anymore lol.

I was for years and years, then I got my first 31, 3 weeks later I got another. Once you get one you'll get em rolling in. Just like girls ;p. They truly are AHHHMAZING vacuums and worth every penny. My personal favorite is the 33. Just because it has the PN, and a 2 speed motor. They are also very quiettt.
