This is from the show "Kim's Rude Awakenings" from one of the How Clean is Your House? hosts. At 2:30 in the video, there's a vac/renovator I've never seen before. Anyone else know what it is?

That is one of those carpet extractors. There was a thread about them a while ago. It is not really a vacuum.

Not an extractor

... at least not in the traditional sense. It's a pile lifter. Two heavy duty motors, an aggressive brush. Not for daily use.

Thanks Rick

I figured it might be a pile lifter but had never seen one in person. Interesting looking machine to say the least.

It doesn't. Plain and simple. The pile lifters have a very stiff brush with a very torquey motor to quite literally rip the carpet back to standing up and untangle the nap! They're also pretty heavy.

IIRC, the Certified machine weighs 67 pounds. Not exactly an Oreck.
