I like my Bissel proheat !!!

I have a pro heat and I think it is a wonderfull machine, the two brush roles do a outstanding job of removing stains from my oriental rugs.

Mine has only one brush roll
wonder if its missing or just has one as its an older model

I love my hoover vac n scrub it does wonders cleaning fluffing but it doesn't extract & my rainbow extracts but is such a opain to bring out & set u
so I'll pl;at with it I guess for $17 its worth a shot

Looks to be ok cond though the front edge is broken off a bit so it could affect suction.

Looks like that part is an easy replacement if it wasn;t too S

seems the hard deposits clog the lines

Good cleaner - poor sprayer
By jgriffpa Nov 19, 2004 | 19 out of 19 found this Bissell ProHeat Pro-Tech 7901-1 review helpful

Pros: Does a nice cleaning job

Cons: Prone to sprayer blockage

The main problem I experienced was, as several of these reviews mentioned, the unit failed to spray solution on the carpet after using it only once.Being mechanically inclined, I decided to investigate myself. I checked three areas of the unit:Base -... I removed the base cover so I could see the lines and the pump. Everything looked ok, the lines had fluid in them but I could see that fluid was not moving through them when I pressed the spray lever on the handle. The small spray heads were not blocked.Handle - Opened up the handle to check if the spray lever was somehow disconnected inside and wasn't really activating the pump. Everything there looked fine.Center (where the heater is) - I found the real problem here and it may be the reason for many of the reviews that mentioned that "the spray stopped working". Inside the lower part of the handle, where the red "heating" light is, there's a small heater which the water lines pass through. Even though my unit was used only once, I could see through the clear lines that the outlet from this heater was blocked. I removed the line from the end of the heater unit and used a paper clip to clear away what looked like a lump of minerals blocking the output. Once it was cleared, the unit started spraying again like brand new.The bottom line, I think, is that, if you have hard water in your area, when that water goes through the heater, it causes some of the minerals to come out of solution, block the heater output and prevent it from reaching the spray heads. The fix is simple enough and, since I was just about to head to the repair center, I know I saved a few bucks. I have had many in for service with in the past couple of yrs and the heater tends to block up pretty quickly. I was thinking of taking out the heater and bypassing the lines to just spray the water. anyway when I use one I keep the heater off and use extremely hot water and solution and off I go. all in all this is a great machine and I would recommend them to anyone who thought about purchasing.

I used some white vinegar solution thru it then rinsed
My lines are working decentlt
N o forceful shower but the solution is coming out.

Hew, for the price I paid glad it workes

I ran water backwards into the hose twice to clean it
all sorts of sand was in there
Now its mine & its pretty clean
??Don't think it was used that much

Will have to try the hose next good for getting in hard to reach areas as it is a big heavy bull but it cleaned the rugs pretty nice so I'm happy & they dried pretty fast

I use a weak simple green solution as its the only avian friendly product.

Yeah, its nice to have clean rugs

Very cool machine, Christine. Web research is such a valuable resource. I'm glad it's working well for you and it'll be a dream when you have to clean a vacant apartment.

It's got so many labels it looks ready for the Daytona 500 - all it needs is some racing stripes. :-)

Elphaba's green dusting brush challenge has ended, thanks to your kindness. Arrived this morning. The box is being re-packed with FQ items in return and should go out on Friday or Monday latest.

Glad it got there safe was wondering how it was traveling as I sent my Mom something same day to Australia first class & she got it last Thursday but hers was pictures.

OOOH Filter queen goodies
I am a nut for filter queen

Thanks

I don't shampoo vacant apartments...luckily that is left to the maintenance crew & they come in with the professional equipment but to tell you the truth whatever they are doing is leaving a sticky residue.
Gums up my beater brushes but I don;t use my good vacs for that.
It;s the ones I don't have such an attachment too...

LOL

Glad the search is over...it is nice to finally have what you have wanted for so long.

Yeah, its a bit gaudy I might remove some labels I'm probably keeping it. The rainbow extracts too but that hose.
I'll store this one in the storage room so it won't be a pest.
really do need the likes of the big beast as the bird makes a powder & it gets everywhere.

The white vinegar was my idea as I know it can be used to clean sediment buildup in coffee makers...it shouldn;t hurt & doing it every once in a while should help clean deposits.
