Hi all I just picked up a G5 while on vacation for $40 it is complete with hose, attachments and carpet cleaning system. I need to replace the cord, rear handle cover due to broken off cord hook and wash the bag. The bag was dusty inside and slightly smelly and I remember reading a thread one time that mentioned how to remove the strap can anyone give my some suggestions or help me find that thread.

Ryan...

Are you talking about the plastic strap that holds the emptor and bag together? If so, just take like a screw driver or something with a flat end and wedge it under the strap and pull towards you. I haven't broke any doing it that way YET. LOL
Good Luck!!!

Heat it first with a blow dryer...it makes it more supple...
