I have one of those old blue plastic with woodgrain top Whirlpool canister vacuums from I think the 70s... anyway the power nozzle has been broken for quite some time and I either would like to find a working one or get rid of the machine. Anyone know if some other power nozzle (even a newer one) would fit my machine? The original seems almost impossible to find. I can give a pic if needed. Thanks!!!

How broken is it? I think a newer one should fit as long as the cord reaches to plug into the hose. If you do decide to sell let me know. A pic would help though, If its a early 70's or older the plug needs to be longer so even if you did find a newer one you could take the cord off of the old one. If its the one I think it is you should be all set with whatever fits the wand end,if that makes sence to you.
