I found the two Electrolux Automatic G's at the same sale for 5 dollars a piece, so I walked out with to Electroluxs for 8dollars. The run flawlessly, no tools, I did see the hose and a dusting brush in their garage but I thought it would of been rude to ask. One was dirtier than the other, and they both need a good polish, but the work good, both with new bags. I also got the Eureka Floor Scrubber at a Church Rummage Sale for two dollars, I am guessing it is rare, never seen a eureka one, only Hoover. But it is quiet, and runs perfectly fine. I love it. There is another thread in the Contemporary Forum for two other vacuums.

Chase, that's a fantastic, indeed drool-worthy find. 2 Gs! Congratulations and enjoy them.

I like the model Gs. I'm actually thinking about getting one for my college dorm in the fall. Quiet, classy, and still functional. Those Eurekas are nice too. I've got one of those with a tank on the back, but the base is extremely rusty. I seem to be seeing more of those online lately, but they are not very common.

Excellent finds...but 'rude to ask' about some clearly visible parts that go with them? What did you imagine they were gonna use them for or with now that the vacuums are gone? I mean, you said it was a garage sale and perhaps they had simply not yet moved those parts intended to go with the vacs out of the garage and into the garage driveway. Jeez, with two Gs in the same place you might have ended up with one complete set with wands and a PN, too.

I'd go back to that house, knock on the door and politely ask if those bits are still in the garage - that you were too excited to remember to ask at the time - and what else do they have in that colour.

It never harms to ask.

Dave

Good point, Dave; it'd be worth going back to see if they have the complete set there.

Hmm...its too bad, because unless they have 3 or more Gs (always possible, I suppose), I don't see why they'd keep the tools.

Alot of times people get in a rush with garage sales and just plain forget to put out stuff like that.

Forgetfulness

True, and tools/attachments are notorious for disappearing.

I'd go back!
Give them some $ for the tools & hose.
All they can say is no.
