Has anyone seen these at dept stores here in the US? I think I saw a Suction Polisher in either a Fingerhut or Montgomery Ward catalog back in the 1980s but don't know if they were sold only at commercial vac shops (where they specialize on commercial machines) or specialty vac shops or Hoover dealers.

I wish Hoover still made those suction polishers today instead of a short time (in the USA)

My dad used a suction polisher when he worked at a lumber yard & when sanding floors, so I'm guessing Hoover DID have suction polishers here in the US too.

You guys should see this Argentinian Electrolux Suction Poli

I am really interested in surfing the web for exotic vacuum designs from all corners of the world. In my travels, I came upon this really "KEWL" design for a suction polisher being sold by Electrolux in South America. Click on the link below to see a pic of it - click on the red button that says "ampliar imagen" to see a larger pic.

Or just Google "Electrolux lustraspiradora" and you'll find a bunch of websites showing this nifty floor care machine.

Love the ring of the Spanish here - lustraspiradora!

I think Furrow Lumber Store sold the suction polishers in the USA but maybe True Value had them too?
