Has anyone seen a XXX Ultra Power? It looks like a Regina Housekeeper & Lux 3500; uses the same style bag as a Lux upright & same tools as the Housekeeper. TWO motor system not one; vacuum & brush motors are 2-speed; vac is lite grey (trim) & cadet blue (body)

I'm not refering to my new XXX Ultra Power (Hoover Savvy style) but the Regina Housekeeper/Electrolux Discovery style that I bought yrs back. The Hoover Savvy style Ultra Power (or DuoPower) is a nice vac; has more suction than the Windtunnel.

Ultra Power 2

this is what it looks like, EXACTLY like a Hoover Windtunnel 2. I had an U/P 2 came into my shop for repair & some components have the Hoover logo.

Duo Power pic

This mdl replaced the original U/P (the UP1 is discont'd)

Do brands affect prices? How can anyone imagine paying 2x the $ for a Hoover Savvy with a XXX logo? Both are exact same machines (color, design, etc) but the TOL Duo Power has varable speed & the UP2 has advanced infared dirt sensor.

2006-present Duo Power pic

I HATED THE PRE-2006 DUOPOWER! The one I got in 2003, I had to empty TWO dust cups (other bagless vacs have only ONE dirt cup) The early Duo Power has large dirt cup (coarse particles) & the smaller cup 4 fine dust; but the filter on the smaller cup CLOGS like heck! So I returned the "2-cups" mdl for the new & improved 2006 Duo Power (the one that resembles a Savvy)

There is a direct-drive mdl & auto-drive mdl (DP & U/P 2) yet 2 come soon
